4月12日上午，备受成都市民尤其是文艺爱好者期待的 “2025成都·欧洲文化季”将在东郊记忆拉开帷幕，开启一年一度的蓉欧文化盛宴。

On the morning of April 12, the highly anticipated “2025 Chengdu Europe Culture Season” will be held at Chengdu Eastern Suburb Memory, marking the beginning of the annual Chengdu-Europe cultural celebration, eagerly awaited by Chengdu residents, especially art enthusiasts.

作为成都与欧洲之间交流合作持续深化的最佳缩影之一，由成都市人民政府外事办公室联合欧洲国家驻华使领馆及欧洲地区友城共同打造的“成都·欧洲文化季”，自2017年以来已成功举办八届，引入百余场高品质、接地气的文化艺术活动，铸就了蓉欧间民心相知相通、文化交流互鉴的友谊之桥。

As an epitome of the deepening exchanges and cooperation between Chengdu and Europe, “Chengdu Europe Culture Season”, jointly launched by the Foreign Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Chengdu Municipality, embassies and consulates of European countries in China, and European friendship cities, has successfully hosted eight editions since its inception in 2017. It has introduced over a hundred high-quality cultural and artistic events in close connection with the people, establishing a bridge of friendship that fosters close bonds between people and mutual learning of cultures between Chengdu and Europe.

As the ninth edition is approaching,

what highlights and attractions can be expected from this year’s “Chengdu Europe Culture Season”?

2025年是中国与欧盟建交50周年。 本届文化季特邀欧盟驻华代表团作为主宾方，共同举办“2025成都·欧洲文化季”开幕式暨“欧洲风情街”活动。2025欧洲风情街以“多元对话-欧中同行”为主题，融汇艺术、音乐、美食与互动体验，打造一场全方位的沉浸式文化嘉年华，让蓉城市民在“家门口”就可以一览欧陆风情。

2025 marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the European Union (EU). This year, an EU delegation to China has been invited as the guest of honor to co-host the opening ceremony of “2025 Chengdu Europe Culture Season” and the “European Culture Street” event. The European Culture Street 2025, themed “All Imaginable Ways of Dialogue”, will integrate art, music, cuisine, and interactive experiences to create an immersive cultural carnival, allowing Chengdu residents to experience European culture in their community.

除开幕式外，今年的文化季还将进一步拓展蓉欧交流主题、丰富活动类型、优化参与体验，携手 爱尔兰、奥地利、德国、法国、芬兰、荷兰、西班牙、希腊、匈牙利、意大利、英国等国驻华使领馆，在成都举办 艺术展、音乐会、戏剧演出、电影周、主题交流等精彩文艺活动，增进蓉欧两地相互了解与文化互鉴，服务中欧间友好往来与民心相亲。

In addition to the opening ceremony, this year’s event will further broaden the themes of Chengdu-Europe exchanges, provide a wider array of activities, and enhance participant experiences. Collaborating with embassies and consulates of Ireland, Austria, Germany, France, Finland, the Netherlands, Spain, Greece, Hungary, Italy, the United Kingdom, and others, the event will feature art exhibitions, concerts, theater performances, film weeks, thematic exchanges, and various other enriching cultural activities in Chengdu. While deepening mutual understanding and cultural exchanges between Chengdu and Europe, these activities aim to foster amicable relations and cultural connections between China and Europe.

Some moments can still be vividly recalled: the stunning debut in Chengdu presented by the Royal Opera of the Château de Versailles from France, the sci-fi rock performance staged by Cosmodrome from Germany at Chengdu Eastern Suburb Memory, the romantic and passionate melodies of Italian jazz resonating in the Sino-Italian Cultural Exchange City Reception Center, Austria’s “New Melody of Vienna” concert that connected two music cities of Vienna and Chengdu, Spain’s masterful gallery that brought beauty to life through paintings of objects and landscapes, Greece’s poster exhibition that celebrated a century of Greek tourism, prominent Polish minimalist photographers and Irish artists in China with their masterpieces… Countless remarkable moments have woven into cherished memories in daily life.
